Nikita

(lyrics by Djoanna Tanji/music by Ahmad Tanji)

I love her like little girls love barbies and pink
she’s the fondest memory I got in my childhood days

and I love to see her again
weeping over her diary
on her uncle’s black Fuego
come play patintero with me
again

I love her when she’s in one of her shrieking moods
when will we find the time to talk about poems
and stars and dreams
like we used to

And I love to see her again
weeping over her diary
on her uncle’s black Fuego
come play patintero with me
again
again

in the midst of her escapo
from aunt jane’s unfair curfews

I just miss you

(It’s summer and you’re supposed to be)
